01 Overview

Designing the operational workflows behind a modern commerce management platform.

ShopUrban is a commerce management platform that helps businesses manage inventory, procurement, production, expenses, and day-to-day operations from one connected system. My contribution focused on designing the internal business tools that help teams run their operations more efficiently.

Running a business shouldn't mean juggling disconnected systems. Behind every successful retail business are countless operational tasks — purchasing inventory, tracking stock, managing production, and monitoring expenses. When these workflows are fragmented or overly complex, they slow down teams and increase the risk of costly mistakes.

As a Product Designer, I was responsible for improving key operational modules within ShopUrban, designing experiences that helped businesses manage their daily operations with greater clarity and efficiency.

Simplifying procurement from request to purchase.

Procurement involves multiple steps, approvals, and records. Poorly structured workflows can make purchasing slow, confusing, and difficult to track.

I designed a procurement experience that organizes purchasing information into clear, structured workflows, making it easier for teams to create, monitor, and manage procurement activities.

Giving businesses confidence in their inventory.

Inventory teams need accurate visibility into stock levels to avoid shortages, overstocking, and operational delays.

The inventory experience was designed to surface critical stock information clearly, helping users monitor inventory, understand product movement, and make informed operational decisions.

Bringing financial visibility to everyday operations.

Business expenses are often recorded across different systems, making it difficult to understand operational spending.

The expense management experience provides businesses with an organized view of operational costs, helping users record, categorize, and review expenses more efficiently.
